Job Description
The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Group (BNFI) - Germany, Austria & CEE team is part of the Europe NBFI Sales coverage team looking after Financial Institutions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions based in Europe. The team works closely with the Global Corporate Bank and all other lines of business to manage bank-wide client relationships.
Job Summary
As a Relationship Manager in the NBFI Sales team, reporting to the NBFI lead in location, you will be responsible for managing existing client relationships, building new business and penetrating new clients and segments through the Payments value proposition and product suite.
Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and manage the client portfolio at a regional/global level partnering with other regional/global Treasury Sales Managers to ensure account strategy and coverage is consistent.
  • Grow pipeline of new sales and incremental business across client portfolio.
  • Act as a point of escalation for clients and the Client Service teams, ensuring best in class service is constantly being delivered.
  • Partner with Client Service, Compliance, Credit, Legal, Operations, Product, Risk and other functions including other Senior Bankers to optimize product and service delivery to clients whilst ensuring the risk agenda is fully understood and diligently managed.
  • Complete Know your Client (KYC) requirements within prescribed time-frames and ensure existing records remain current.
  • Educate partners around the firm to ensure a thorough understanding of the client base.
  • Remain current in knowledge of the current regulatory regimes effecting the client base, and aware of forthcoming amendments/new regulation.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Payment Sales and Relationship Management with a demonstrable track record in a client facing position and detailed understanding of Payments, Liquidity and Trade Finance with detailed knowledge of the German Banking, NBFI and Insurance landscape.
  • Strong sales/relationship management experience with a keen desire to sell and to develop a portfolio.
  • Comfortable in negotiating with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically with awareness of market regulation, its implications and impact on the client and the bank.
  • Organized and disciplined with the ability to handle multiple priorities and to act with own initiative.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of applications and SharePoint.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
German language is preferable.
