Node.js Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for Senior Backend Engineers with 4–6 years of experience to join our Development Services team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Node.js and working proficiency in Python, and will be comfortable building, maintaining, and integrating backend services in a modern, cloud-based environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and Python.
• Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate applications (Angular experience preferred).
• Work across multiple backend services, contributing to systems written in both Node.js and Python.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Write clean, reusable, well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high engineering standards.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams for testing, deployment, and CI/CD.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of backend development experience, with:
• Strong hands-on experience in js (Express.js or similar frameworks)
• Professional working experience in Python (APIs, services, scripts, or data processing)
• Solid understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript, ES6+, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Strong understanding of API design, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and service-based architectures.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience working with Angular (v10+) or other modern front-end frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• MLOps or data pipeline exposure is a plus but not required.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

Experience:

• Minimum: 4 years of relevant experience 
• Preferred: 5-6 years of relevant experience 

Education/Qualification:

• Minimum: B.Sc in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Preferred: Same as minimum
