SUMMARY:
The NOC Analyst II is responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and monitoring the enterprise network infrastructure of Churchill Downs Incorporated and its related properties.
Location and Hours:
100% on-site in Louisville, KY
Sunday - Thursday, 11:00am - 7:00pm EST
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Ensure the successful and continued operation of the company's network infrastructure.
- Management and ownership of user requests and network infrastructure incidents
- Investigate network issues and bring resolution within stated SLA parameters.
- Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to operations, engineering team or customers, upon request.
- Provide technical input (both verbal and written) for Incident and Change
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair network problems according to Service Level Agreements
- Monitoring and reporting of the network infrastructure operations across the enterprise.
- Plan and execute changes to the network infrastructure.
- Gather and compile documentation and diagrams as required.
- Update and maintain network management application databases and CMDB tools.
- Ensure that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
REGULATORY
- Ability to obtain racing and/or gaming licenses as required in any jurisdiction where CDI operates. The Gaming industry is highly regulated and as such demands an extensive background check to obtain a license.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of experience managing and configuring Cisco hardware.
- Current Network+ or CCNA certification
- ITIL or Six Sigma certification preferred.
- 3+ year of experience configuring, monitoring and managing Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto Firewalls and enterprise grade load balancers.
- Experience with packet capture technologies such as Wireshark and NetScout.
- Knowledge of routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux-based platforms
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of using network analysis, management and performance monitoring tools to diagnose problems and determine root cause.
- WiFi troubleshooting and/or experience with networked IT systems.
- Highly capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Action-oriented individual that is a self-starter.
