The Warehouse Manager is a hands-on leader who combines operational expertise with a commitment to team development and continuous improvement. This role oversees all aspects of warehouse operations—including day and night shifts—ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in inventory management and product flow. While the Warehouse Manager leads through others, they are expected to be actively engaged on the floor, supporting the team and solving problems alongside them when needed. This position requires someone who leads by example, develops talent, and drives performance across all facets of the operation. Proven experience leading 2+ supervisors and frontline team of 40+employees.

Job Description:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Inspire and lead warehouse staff, inclusive of leadership and hourly staff, across day and night shifts, fostering accountability, engagement, and growth.
  • Build a culture of ownership where team members take initiative and pride in their work.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor employees to develop future leaders and maintain a strong succession pipeline.

Operational Oversight

  • Provide full oversight of warehouse operations, ensuring teams execute daily tasks with accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
  • Manage inventory control processes, including receiving, storage, replenishment, and audits.
  • Oversee scheduling for all shifts to ensure timely delivery of products and optimal staffing levels.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Partner within the organization to identify and resolve operational challenges, continuously improving workflows and service delivery.

Strategic Execution

  • Translate organizational goals into actionable plans for warehouse operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, delivery, and customer service teams to support broader business initiatives and customer satisfaction.

Performance & Metrics

  • Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, productivity, safety, and on-time delivery.
  • Use data to drive decisions, track progress, and communicate results to leadership.
  • Proactively address operational challenges and implement corrective actions.

The Warehouse Manager is expected to demonstrate the following leadership competencies:

  • Collaborate: Build strong partnerships with internal teams and external customers, promoting teamwork and mutual respect.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years proven experience in warehouse management or similar leadership role.
  • Previous Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred; HighJump experience is a plus.
  • Experience and knowledge of applicable federal regulations, including OSHA and DOT requirements.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, logistics, and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and analyze procedures related to warehousing and distribution activities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support day and night operations.

The expected pay range for this role is $90,000.00 - $100,000.00. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, labor markets, education, experience, certifications, etc. Johnson Brothers offers eligible team members and their dependents comprehensive health benefits and programs, which include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts.
