Job Description
The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during nighttime hours, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for guests. This role involves supervising night staff, addressing guest inquiries and concerns, and handling any emergencies or operational issues that may arise. The Night Manager also ensures that all accounting and reporting tasks are completed accurately to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services
- Provide personalized service to guests, managing check-ins, check-outs, and addressing any issues that arise during the night.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guests, handling complaints, requests, and special needs efficiently and professionally.
- Monitor guest satisfaction levels and proactively address any concerns.
- Operations Oversight
- Supervise and support night staff across departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Conduct property walks to ensure safety, security, and cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping teams for any urgent issues that need immediate attention.
- Accounting and Reporting
- Oversee and complete night audit functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and balancing of hotel accounts.
- Generate end-of-day reports for management review and assist with any discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping to support day-shift staff.
- Safety and Security
- Monitor the security of the hotel premises, ensuring that all entrances and exits are secure during the night.
- Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, security threats, and guest issues, following hotel policies and procedures.
- Liaise with local authorities as needed and coordinate safety protocols during emergencies.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor night-shift team members, fostering a professional and service-oriented environment.
- Conduct regular training on night procedures, guest service standards, and emergency protocols.
- Provide performance feedback to night-shift staff and ensure compliance with hotel policies.
Qualifications
• College diploma in hotel management or financial majors
• Previous experience in Front Office with prior night audit or night management experiecne preferred
• Experience with Front Office Systems and accounting principles
• Good level of English both written and spoken
Ability to manage a diverse team and foster a collaborative work environment.
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

1. To the Director of Finance for all night audit related functions
2. To Executive Assistant Manager for all guest related matters
