Job Type:PermanentTHE POSITION
Keyera is currently seeking an Operations Engineer to support our NGL Truck & Rail Terminals, as well as Pipelines in the Liquids Infrastructure. The role will be based in Keyera’s Sherwood Park Regional Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical and troubleshooting support for Maintenance, Operations, and Integrity.
- Actively participate in the management of change (MOC) process in conjunction with facility stakeholders.
- Collaborate with vendors, engineering firms, and subject matter experts to solve problems and resolve design issues.
- Utilize engineering skills to design Issue for Construction packages that address: HSE and reliability concerns, optimization/pay-out justification, project scheduling, cost control, tender/bid packages, and regulatory compliance
- Prepare and authenticate technical drawings and documentation including: piping isometrics, line designation tables, and code calculations.
- Provide project management for capital and OPEX projects from conception to completion (options identification & evaluation, process hazard analysis, funding request, detailed engineering, manage and report on cost and schedule during construction, resolve RFI’s).
- Utilize and oversee EPC’s for detailed engineering as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) or PL(Eng) would be considered a strong asset.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within a facility environment.
- Knowledge of Midstream and Downstream facilities, Rail/Truck and Tank Terminals, and Pipeline Operations preferred for this role.
- Strong background in facility and equipment reliability along with a mechanical aptitude would be an asset.
- Creativity in developing and evaluating alternate solutions to realize business opportunities within Keyera.
- Proven ability to solve problems and recommend the optimal solution
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization and analytical skills.
- Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in a multi-disciplined work team environment
- Familiarity with current acts and regulations (ASME B31.3 and Section VIII, CSA Z662, ABSA, etc.).
- This role is subject pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing and ongoing compliance with the company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy.
