Exciting opportunity to join a growing in-house legal team working for the biggest non-bank lender in the UK. The role is ideal for a newly qualified solicitor with a passion for real estate finance and a desire to work on high-value transactions in a commercial setting. The role will focus on advising on, structuring and managing a broad range of real estate finance transactions, including; acquisition and refinancing deals. The ideal candidate will combine technical legal expertise with strong commercial acumen, acting as a trusted advisor to the business.

Typical duties include:

• Transaction Support
  • Advise on and manage the legal aspects of transactions, including drafting and negotiating Deeds of Priority, intercreditor agreements, and ancillary documents.
  • Advise on Bridging Finance and refinancing transactions
  • Conduct legal due diligence on property acquisitions and disposals, including review of title, planning and searches.

• Risk Management & Compliance
  • Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks
  • Assist with compliance and regulatory issues related to property finance.
  • Ensure transactions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal governance procedures.

• Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with internal departments to deliver commercially driven legal solutions.
  • Liaise with external parties to drive transactions forward efficiently.

• Process Improvement
  • Deliver training to internal teams on key legal and regulatory issues.
  • Maintain legal documentation and contribute to internal process improvements

• Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with PQE in real estate finance.
• Solid background gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Strong technical knowledge of loan documentation, and real estate due diligence.
• Commercial mindset with ability to balance legal risk and business priorities.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
