Title: New Product Strategist Lead (P6)
Location: US Hybrid (Remote + Onsite)
Reports To: Chief Digital Officer
The Role:
As the New Product Strategist Lead in our emerging J.D. Power AI Team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and new business development initiatives within our organization. The New Product Strategist will also drive discovery, validation and Agile product delivery for select high growth-initiatives executed within our group, supported by our in-house teams of industry (initial focus Automotive) domain experts.

Leveraging your expertise as an entrepreneurial Product Strategist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and incubate new product and service ideas that align with the company's strategic priorities. Your mission is to champion an entrepreneurial mindset and accelerate the commercialization of promising new ventures.
What You'll Be Doing in This Role:
Idea Generation, Concept Development and Strategy
- In this role, your mandate will be to accelerate new product idea generation, discovery and qualification within and across key Automotive domain problem areas and help steer strategic “bets” based on right size diligence and analysis
- Identification of customer and business whitespace opportunities and associated product solutions by harnessing and exploiting J.D. Power’s industry defining datasets, deep OEM relationships, internal domain expertise and AI enabled technology
- Serve as a strategic advisor and mentor to internal teams and business units, sharing insights and best practices from your entrepreneurial background
- Quickly develop strong repour, respect and credibility with internal practice and domain experts who are a critical part of the success of the mission
- Proactively scan the market and internal operations to identify opportunities for innovation, disruption, and new business models
- Facilitate ideation workshops and design thinking sessions to generate and refine new product/service concepts across priority themes/large opportunity automotive problem areas
- Evaluate and prioritize new business ideas based on factors such as market potential, competitive landscape, technical feasibility, and alignment with corporate strategy
- Develop business plans, financial models, and operational roadmaps for the most promising venture opportunities
- Provide hands-on support to internal "intrapreneurial" teams, helping them navigate challenges and accelerate the launch of new initiatives
- Foster a culture of entrepreneurship and experimentation within the organization
- Represent the company as a thought leader in the broader innovation and startup ecosystem
- Collaborate closely with executives, R&D, marketing, and other key stakeholders to secure resources and buy-in for new ventures
Product Delivery & Execution
- Direct AI-centric product development and delivery (and ongoing discovery) during execution for a small subset of high-growth product initiatives
- Drive convergence on an aligned product solution and use a lean, MVP oriented approach to break the target solution into component parts with a bias for delivering value early and often through a highly iterative process
- Own and maintain strategic and tactical product roadmap, product backlog informed by qualified customer inputs and value drivers
- Facilitate and/or adapt a fit for purpose product development process that works well for an AI first approach while maintaining the fundamentals of an Agile approach
Qualifications of this Role:
- Proven track record as a successful entrepreneur, with experience founding, building, and/or exiting your own company
- Deep understanding of the entrepreneurial process, including ideation, business model development, fundraising, and scaling
- Experience in consulting environments a plus
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to think strategically and perform rigorous analysis
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to influence and align diverse stakeholders with strong opinions
- Passion for innovation and a desire to drive change within a large, established organization
- Willingness to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs
- Depth of experience in leading product development and execution for large scale AI enabled B2B products
