About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineering Leader to drive the successful industrialization of next-generation products. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to transition products from design to manufacturing, optimize production processes, and deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions at scale.

You will work closely with R&D, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, and global manufacturing sites to enable rapid commercialization and continuous improvement across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Leadership

  • Lead and manage multiple engineering programs, ensuring clear definition of:
    • Project objectives and deliverables
    • Milestones, timelines, and resource plans
  • Drive execution to meet commitments on cost, quality, and schedule
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment from concept through production

Manufacturing & Product Industrialization

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in DFX (Design for Excellence in Assembly, Test, and Service)
  • Lead product transition from design into manufacturing environments
  • Define and implement scalable manufacturing methods, processes, and tools
  • Review designs (PCBA, cables, mechanical components, magnetics) for manufacturability and cost optimization

Process Development & Production Readiness

  • Develop and deploy manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
  • Design and procure tooling, fixtures, and automation solutions
  • Establish BOM structures, routings, and labor standards to support production

Product Transfer & Supplier Integration

  • Lead product transfers to internal factories and global contract manufacturers
  • Drive supplier performance, including corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with global teams to support production ramp and sustainment

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process and product improvements to enhance quality, yield, and cost
  • Drive structured problem-solving and root cause analysis across manufacturing issues
  • Lead initiatives focused on automation, efficiency, and scalability

Governance, Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure full compliance with engineering, quality, and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation across all product lifecycle phases
  • Ensure adherence to IP, confidentiality, ISO, and regulatory requirements

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff
  • Assign work based on priorities and team capabilities
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovation

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated success in:
    • New Product Introduction (NPI) and product industrialization
    • Transitioning products from prototype to volume production
    • Manufacturing process development and optimization
  • Strong understanding of:
    • PCBA fabrication, assembly, and test processes
    • Cable and wire harness design and manufacturing
    • Design for Manufacturing (DFM), FMEA, and process control methodologies

Preferred

  • Experience with global manufacturing and contract manufacturers
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards (UL, CE, CSA, etc.)
  • Familiarity with GD&T, DOE, and statistical analysis
  • Experience driving cost reduction and supplier quality improvements
  • Experience with Design for Automated Assembly

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
