We are seeking an experienced, driven New Car Sales Manager to lead our Nissan sales operation. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to develop a sales team, structure deals, manage inventory, protect gross profit, and consistently achieve Nissan objectives.
The ideal candidate is competitive, accountable, process-driven, and comfortable working alongside the team—not managing from an office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recruit, train, coach, and hold the sales team accountable
- Drive new-car sales volume, gross profit, market share, and customer retention
- Manage daily sales activity, appointments, follow-up, and closing performance
- Desk deals effectively while balancing profitability and customer satisfaction
- Maintain strong knowledge of Nissan incentives, rebates, lease programs, and product offerings
- Oversee new-car inventory, aging, pricing, dealer trades, and model mix
- Ensure accurate and timely RDRs, reporting, paperwork, and compliance
- Partner with the Internet Department to improve lead response, appointment shows, and closing ratios
- Work closely with F&I to maximize profitability and ensure smooth deal flow
- Monitor salesperson performance and provide consistent one-on-one coaching
- Maintain high CSI and ensure every customer receives a professional delivery experience
- Lead daily meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews
- Assist the General Sales Manager and General Manager with achieving monthly objectives
Qualifications:
- Previous automotive sales management experience required
- Nissan management experience strongly preferred
- Strong desking, closing, coaching, and inventory-management skills
- Working knowledge of Nissan systems, programs, and reporting
- Proven ability to achieve volume, gross-profit, CSI, and market-share goals
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work dealership hours, including evenings and weekends
