Mayo Clinic’s Department of Neurologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic Rochester is seeking to recruit academic neurosurgeons with fellowship training in complex spine, with comprehensive training in all facets of neurosurgical spine surgery including open and minimally invasive approaches. A secondary graduate degree or equivalent dedicated training in areas of spinal cord injury, repair or therapeutics, and data science / AI is desirable. Applicants should demonstrate a track-record of commitment to excellence in neurosurgery training, clinical service and scholarship, with a minimum of 20-30% focus on academic activities. Preference will be given to candidates who bring interest to build practice in areas that are not offered and will complement the existing strength of the spine program at Mayo Clinic.
Candidates must have demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, strong clinical communication/interpersonal skills and an interest in academic productivity.
The individual will join Mayo Clinic’s Department of Neurologic Surgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine (an academic tertiary care program) located in Rochester, MN. With the nation’s largest neurosurgical clinical volumes, collaborative clinical and research opportunities are available and encouraged across all Mayo sites (Arizona, Minnesota, Florida and the Mayo Health System).
