Mayo Clinic’s Department of Neurologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic Rochester is seeking to recruit academic neurosurgeons with niche expertise in cranial neurosurgery in any areas of advanced neuro-oncology, trauma neurosurgery, technical innovation in neurosurgery, AI and large data science integration in neurosurgery care.
A secondary graduate degree is preferrable at the level of a PhD or equivalent, or previously demonstrated success in managing a basic or translational science laboratory. Applicants should demonstrate a track-record of commitment to excellence in neurosurgery training, clinical service and scholarship, with up to 50% focus on academic activities. Candidates with working experience as an independent faculty are preferred. The candidates should have the credentials to meet the standards of a research appointment as investigators or scientists. Candidates must have demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, strong clinical communication/interpersonal skills and preference is given to those with demonstrated ability to lead as an independent practitioner.
The individual will join Mayo Clinic’s Department of Neurologic Surgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, an academic tertiary care program, located in Rochester, MN. With the nation’s largest neurosurgical clinical volumes, collaborative clinical and research opportunities are available and encouraged across all Mayo sites (Arizona, Minnesota, Florida and the Mayo Health System).
