Key Responsibilities and Expectations
United Health Services, a three-hospital, integrated health system in Central New York, is hiring an outpatient general neurologist to join our growing Neurosciences team. Neuroscience is a signature service line for the health system, especially for stroke and neurosurgical care, and we have a need to expand our outpatient general neurology clinics due to increased demand.
We currently have a robust team of interventional and neurocritical care, outpatient - headache and pain neurology, outpatient – neurophysiology, and vascular neurology specialists.
The practice covers and admits to UHS Wilson Medical Center. UHS Wilson Medical Center is a 280-bed teaching hospital with Level 2 trauma and Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center designations (Comprehensive Stroke Center certification pending).
Practice Highlights:
- Call to be shared with the local private group; 1:5 with plans to improve; ability to have a pure outpatient practice or hybrid inpatient/outpatient model
- Faculty appointment at SUNY Upstate Medical University
- Current 3-4 month wait time for patients
- APC support
- EPIC EMR

Outpatient Highlights:
- EEG, EMG and IOM capabilities
- High referral numbers
- Sleep lab available for sleep subspecialist
- Step into immediate volume for movement disorders
Salary Range $300,000 - $400,000 annually
