ChristianaCare is looking for APC Applicants (Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants) who have been licensed less than 18 months to join our innovative and customized 12 month APC Fellowship in Neurocognitive Care.  The selected candidate will be given the opportunity to obtain expertise in the treatment of patients with complex neurocognitive and neuropsychiatric disorders (such as Alzheimer’s disease, vascular, frontotemporal, Lewy Body dementia, Parkinson’s disease, mild cognitive impairment).

Based at ChristianaCare’ s Swank Memory Center, fellows will engage in an immersive learning environment, alongside a multidisciplinary care team that includes geriatric medicine, geriatric psychiatry, neurology, nursing, and social work.  Experts in sleep medicine, neuroradiology, pharmacology, and genetics provide additional training and supervision.  Fellows will gain experience with the latest in biomarker testing and newly approved anti-amyloid therapies for Alzheimer’s disease.  The Swank Memory Center is a site for CMS’ GUIDE Program, and fellows will work close our GUIDE Teams.  Weekly didactics and supervision fosters learning in a supportive environment that nurtures work/life balance.

Each selected Fellow will receive an annual salary of $82,000.   Fellows are considered full-time employees of ChristianaCare with benefits.  The expectation is that Fellows who meet performance objectives and demonstrate ChristianaCare values will apply for permanent employment in a CCHS practice after completing the program at a rate commensurate with 1 year of experience.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Master’s degree as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse or graduation from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Program

License or license eligible in the State of Delaware

Prescriptive authority required in Delaware

Certification in BLS
