Job DescriptionThe Government Assurance Team (GAT) Level 2 Networking team provides complex technical support of a Tier 1 Managed Services NOC. The role has a responsibility for the operation and maintenance of Enterprise customers Data Networks in a 24x7 shift environment.
This role requires you to have Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance.

What You’ll Do
Telstra Enterprise - Enterprise Operations Government Assurance Team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Telstra's enterprise business, including order fulfillment, customer support, and service delivery.
Responsibilities of the role
You will provide specialised technical support in the detection, investigation and resolution of complex network faults and routines associated with the customers network including associated Telstra carriage services, ensuring all faults are responded and resolved within agreed timelines.
This will include:
Apply excellent Incident management methodologies to detect and resolve faults in an affective and timely manner to meet monthly KPI metrics
Perform L2 investigation of network faults. Provide specialised technical expertise in the investigation and rectification of more complex faults and routines. Diagnose and restore complex issues associated to customers private networks for Telstra’s enterprise customers.
Perform or participate in complex, specialised technical investigations to determine/confirm system and design standards and performance parameters for the networks, infrastructure, products and services supplied and operated by Telstra
Provide pro-active Change management with customers to ensure that customer impact of service/network changes and planned outages are minimised. Complete all simple service requests/ MACs in timely manner
Co-ordinate with service desk, customers, vendors and all other resolver groups to ensure timely resolution
About You
Essential Qualifications and Experience
NV1 Security clearance
CCNA certified
Fortinet Foundation (Fundamentals/Associate) certifications
3-5 years of experience on network support
Cisco Switching / routing knowledge
Fortinet Switching / routing knowledge
ITIL Awareness of incident management, service request fulfilment and change management process
Hands on experience of Cisco and/or Fortinet device configurations
Highly Desirable
Bachelor’s degree in engineering / Telecommunications or equivalent
CCNP certification
Fortinet Advanced (Associate/Professional) Certifications
Wireless, F5, Juniper and VOIP knowledge
SDWAN technologies
Other Requirements
You must be located in Canberra or Sydney
You must be able to participate in a 24/7 shift roster work arrangement
Candidates must be Australian Citizens and have current Baseline/NV1/NV2 clearance minimum to be considered. This role will require you to hold and maintain an Australian Government Baseline/NV1/NV2 security clearance.
