Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of our complex infrastructure of application and database servers. You will play a key role in ensuring our infrastructure operates at peak performance, availability, and security to support our critical business needs.Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Network Implementation and Support:
- Assist with the deployment of network solutions to meet business and customer requirements.
- Perform routine upgrades and maintenance on network hardware and software.
- Support the configuration and management of Active Directory (AD) and DNS services.
- Help manage cloud connectivity, ensuring secure integration and reliable performance.
Infrastructure Support:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and upkeep of servers and network appliances, including firewalls and load balancers.
- Support the integration of infrastructure with cloud platforms under the direction of senior engineers.
- Perform system checks and ensure compliance with standards for infrastructure components.
Network Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor network performance to ensure smooth operation.
- Utilize network monitoring tools to track performance metrics and resolve issues.
- Address connectivity issues related to cloud resources and network devices such as VLANs.
Security & Troubleshooting:
- Assist in implementing network security measures, including firewall updates and configuration.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting for network devices and assist senior engineers in resolving complex issues.
- Perform routine checks and updates on security systems and network infrastructure.
VMware and SAN Support:
- Support VMware infrastructure management, including virtual machine monitoring and host management.
- Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of SAN storage, ensuring performance and data integrity.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Assist in maintaining network documentation, including configurations and updates.
- Generate reports on network performance, issues, and system upgrades.
- Maintain records for all network-related assets and configurations.
Disaster Recovery Support:
- Assist in supporting the disaster recovery plan, including offsite backup and failover systems.
- Help monitor and ensure the recovery setup is regularly tested and maintained.
Required Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including AD, DNS, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Experience with VMware and SAN systems (basic administration).
- Proficiency in monitoring network performance and identifying issues.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a desire to learn advanced networking concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
