As a member of the Ryder Ecommerce IT Network Group, you are responsible for maintaining a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment to ensure a stable, reliable network operation.
Responsibilities -

Ensure network security and connectivity
-
Design, implement, and manage Cisco WAN/LAN network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.

Perform network configuration and troubleshooting to resolve complex network issues and ensure smooth operation.
-
Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings
-
Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated network and system issues.
-
secure critical IT systems, including servers, networks, and storage solutions.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
-
Monitor network performance and capacity (availability, utilization, throughput, latency) to identify and address potential bottlenecks or issues proactively.

Configure Fortinet Firewalls
-
Ensure critical updates are tested and deployed in a timely manner
-
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and assist with their professional development.
-
Willingness to continue to learn and share knowledge
-
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network emergencies or incidents promptly.

Manage user remote access, VPN configurations
-
Document processes, network configurations, and troubleshooting steps for systems and applications.
-
Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
-
Develop, define and monitor network/security policies for the use of network resources
-
Work closely with customers, vendors and other departments, including operations, engineering, and management
-
Monitor Helpdesk queues throughout the day to ensure SLAs are met

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
-
5+ years of relative experience in IT network infrastructure in a large scale enterprise with hands-on networking experience
-
Proven experience working with Cisco networking technologies
-
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues.
-
Ability to take and read network packet captures and debugs
-
Must have working knowledge of SDWAN
-
Must have proven experience with Fortinet Fortigate Firewalls
-
Experience with FortiNac, FortiEMS, FortiAnalyzer a plus
-
Must have working knowledge of VMWare virtual infrastructure
-
Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of network infrastructure
-
Experience working with SolarWinds network management software or similar to monitor, identify, and troubleshoot network performance issues
-
Hands-on experience in Cisco network switching and routing – Configuring network switches, static routes, vlans, ports, trunks, etc.
-
Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, L2/L3, dns, dhcp
-
Experience deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting wireless infrastructure. Familiar with Aruba access points, controllers, Airwave management
-
Hands on experience configuring and working with Firewalls and security appliances - VPN’s, Policies, NAT’s, etc.

Experience deploying/managing Network Access Control solutions
-
Proficient in Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.

Working knowledge of low voltage cabling
-
Experience with supporting remote office environments

Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
-
Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
-
Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues

Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking

Compensation Information:
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc.
Compensation ranges for the position are below:
Pay Type:
Salaried
Minimum Pay Range:
$95,000.00
Maximum Pay Range:
$105,000.00
The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
