Relevant experience required (in years): 7 – 10 years.
Educational Qualification: Any Graduate from a reputed University
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent Oral and written communication skills
- Experience with network hardware and configuration for Cisco firewalls, switches, and routing (CCNA / CCNP Certification is must)
- Expert knowledge of Server hardware and monitoring concepts related to the same.
- Working knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools like Nagios would be desired.
- Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools like Nagios, Wireshark, PTRG
- Windows Server & workstation troubleshooting knowledge is also required.
- Hands on experience in troubleshooting VPN Tunnels
- Need to have deep understanding of OSI layers.
- Hands on experience in configuring & troubleshooting for below Cisco devices.
a. Cisco Switches like 2950, 2960 & HPE Aruba Switches
b. Cisco Routers
c. Cisco ASA Firewalls
d. Cisco Wireless Controllers
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitoring health of Data centers worldwide & taking corrective actions.
- Support Windows, Linux OS & network related topics.
- Provide L2 & L3 support and convey resolutions to customer issues & escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support in a 24X7 environment.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN appliances to ensure optimal performance and reliability. (e.g., Cisco ASA Firewalls, Catalyst 2900 – 3500 switches, load Balancer, QOS)
- Design and implement secure VPN solutions, including site-to-site VPNs and remote access VPNs, using Cisco ASA, Firepower, or other relevant platforms.
- Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Liaise with vendors worldwide and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Excellent organizational, and support case management skills. Successful communicator at all levels using all media, with excellent interpersonal skills.
