Job Description
Purpose of the role
The Network Product Owner (LAN) at IAG is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the
successful management, implementation and compliance with architectural design and technical
strategy of our network infrastructure. The Network Product Owner (LAN) will collaborate with
cross-functional teams, ensure adherence to best practices, and drive the development of world-
class LAN solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network
architecture, emerging technologies, and a proven track record of implementing complex network
solutions.
Accountabilities
Working in partnership with IAG Tech and the business to:
• Product Ownership: Proactively define and execute your product strategy, ensuring value to
the customer. Responsible for the management, optimisation and development of IAG’s Local
Area Network, up to and including successful implementation of LAN changes.
• Network Compliance and Standards: Develop and implement a set of standards to ensure
functional and non-functional requirements are met by current and future network architectures.
Ensure network designs and implementations comply with relevant industry standards,
regulations, and best practices.
• Governance and Controls: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including
network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with our managed service
partners and their engineers. Communicate network solutions to both technical and non-
technical employees.
This role may require occasional travel and working from multiple sites/locations.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
- Product Ownership: Proven experience as a Product Owner in CRM, SaaS, or any tech-focused environment, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with network concepts or a background in technical environments, with the ability to grasp infrastructure, network, and hardware functionalities.
- Complex Environments: Demonstrated experience in managing products across functional areas and departments.
- Agile Delivery: Strong advocate for agile practices, continuously promoting efficient, innovative ways to improve product and project outcomes.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Vendor Knowledge: Familiarity or experience with networking vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Broadcom, and NetBrain is a plus, though not essential.
- Technical Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are beneficial but optional.
- Global Exposure: Experience working across multiple countries and cultures.
