The Opportunity
This role embodies the mindset of a business leader and entrepreneur, operating flexibly within a networked structure to drive the success of Diagnostics Global Operations. As a strategic partner and coach, you will inspire and empower teams within and beyond the P&C community, fostering end-to-end thinking and ensuring the organization is equipped to meet evolving global challenges through mindset and behavior transformations.

In this role, you will hold a unique position as a Network Business Partner, bridging global enterprise strategy with cross-functional execution. You will operate across the breadth of the Diagnostics Global Operations ecosystem to drive collective success.

  • You will act as a vital Network BP driving impact across our entire global footprint. You will collaborate deeply across the "Plan, Source, Make, Supply" value chain, partnering with diverse leadership teams to harmonize people practices and drive operational excellence.
  • Systemic Strategic Impact: You will translate overall P&C strategies into actionable, scalable initiatives that drive organizational health, performance, and a diverse, inclusive culture across multiple leadership areas. By fostering end-to-end thinking, you ensure that P&C solutions are fit-for-purpose for the entire Global Operations network.

As a core member of the GO BP Network Team, you will collaborate with the PCET. A key component of this role includes:

  • PCET Partnership: Partnering closely with the Diagnostics Global Operations P&C Enabling Team (PCET) to co-create and drive the functional agenda across the Global Operations footprint.
  • Strategic Alignment: Acting as a bridge between site-level execution and the strategic P&C roadmap, ensuring that local insights inform global enabling initiatives and site-specific needs are integrated into the broader global strategy.
  • Reporting Line: This position reports directly to a member of the Diagnostics Global Operations PCET, providing you with a direct line of sight into the P&C strategy for the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translating Strategy into Action: Turn business insights into tailored P&C strategies and drive fit-for-purpose implementation through change initiatives, people streams, Work Product Teams (WPTs), and squads.
  • Organizational Transformation: Advance organizational design and effectiveness by driving shifts in mindset, behaviors, and agile ways of working to ensure readiness for evolving challenges.
  • Talent & Capability Building: Focus on enhancing future talent and capabilities, securing a diverse pipeline to meet the organization’s long-term goals.
  • Cross-Functional Agility: Support initiatives or squads in other parts of the business based on shifting global priorities, fostering a seamless and high-performing organization across the entire value chain.

Business Acumen

  • Aligning P&C strategy, goals, and objectives with overall business strategies.
  • Providing guidance on talent management, workforce strategies, organization design, and reward and recognition topics.
  • Recommending business practice improvements to leverage human capital and drive organizational value.

Leadership

  • Acts as a coach and partner to foster VACC leadership and align culture with Roche’s framework.
  • Translates business vision into actionable initiatives, leading or supporting WPTs/squads for delivery.
  • Addresses retention, engagement, and leadership challenges through targeted interventions

P&C Insights & Innovation

  • Gathering and analyzing internal and external data to make informed decisions.
  • Diagnosing root causes of work environment issues and shaping solutions with stakeholders.
  • Sharing insights and recommending innovative P&C solutions to support strategic direction.
Who You Are

You demonstrate a passion and drive to shape People & Culture across diverse business areas. You are an excellent fit for this role if you have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive HR or related business experience, with proven project management and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of HR operational frameworks, employment laws, and compliance regulations.
  • Business fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., German) are a plus.
  • You lead with Vision, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach (VACC) principles, bringing high self-awareness to cultivate trust and psychological safety across diverse teams.
  • You easily navigate matrixed P&C systems and chapters to diagnose business needs, support global initiatives, and drive courageous, authentic conversations at all levels.
  • You leverage digital tools and data-driven insights for smart decision-making, effective collaboration, and alignment with Roche’s strategic vision.
  • You excel in customer relations, showing strong situational awareness and exceptional written and verbal communication skills to build long-term partnerships.

This position is on-site in Indianapolis.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $104,600 to $194,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
