Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Optimization Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing strategies to optimize our supply chain inventory and operations. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate current supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory management, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations while determining the urgency and placement of inventory based on business needs.
  • Act as a liaison between Planning and Branches.
  • Monitor and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track progress and identify trends.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to enhance supply chain performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Utilize data analytics and modeling tools to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels. Determine the movement of parts through the network. Oversee IBT (Inter-Branch Transfer) management.
  • Review slow moving and obsolete inventory. Manage reserve projections.
  • Analyze metrics such as lead time, backorders, and inventory defects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation within the supply chain.
  • Serve as an expert on the needs of the branches and determine the utilization of resources.
  • Utilize tools such as JDA, and Power BI to manage and analyze supply chain data effectively.
  • Conduct detailed analysis on metrics like lead time, backorders, and inventory defects to identify and address inefficiencies.
  • Assist in Strategic Purchase Review.
  • Partner with Planning to solve for the top lost sales items per branch.
  • Receive and submit safety stock suggestions.
  • Manage DC rebalancing and coordinate with transportation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain optimization, logistics, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency supply chain management software and data analysis tools, (preferably Blue Yonder, JDA)
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience is preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines and filing cabinets. The performance of this position may require exposure to the warehouse areas where certain areas may require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes and safety glasses. The primary environment is characterized by ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment.
