Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience in providing L3 level support for Cisco Unified Communications platforms, including CUCM, CUC, UCCX, and IM&P. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IPT related issues and be adept at troubleshooting complex problems related to SIP, H.323, MGCP, and SCCP protocols. This role requires a proactive approach to defining voice related QoS policies, dial plans, and call routing to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our communication systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide L3 level support for Cisco Unified Communications platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex IPT related issues, including but not limited to SIP, H.323, MGCP, and SCCP.
  • Define and implement voice related QoS policies to enhance call quality and system performance.
  • Design and manage dial plans and call routing strategies to optimize communication flow.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and address network related challenges.
  • Document troubleshooting processes, solutions, and best practices for future reference.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Unified Communications and network engineering.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Mandatory Skills:
  • Proven experience in L3 level support for Cisco Unified Communications platforms (CUCM, CUC, UCCX, IM&P).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in IPT related issues (SIP, H.323, MGCP, SCCP).
  • Expertise in defining and implementing voice related QoS policies.
  • Experience in designing dial plans and call routing strategies.
  • Solid understanding of network operations and management.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications such as CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration.
  • Experience with other Unified Communications tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud based communication solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10 15 years of relevant experience in network engineering and support.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
