We are seeking a transformational Network Engineering Leader who will be responsible for network design, deployment and operation. The leader will own the operational monitoring as well as the configuration and administration of all Equifax network systems. In addition to networks, the VP Networking Services works closely with all members of the Technology Team. A working knowledge of storage, operating systems, and application connectivity and communications requirements is required. This position leads the engineering of new systems and re-engineering of old ones. This position will manage all networking partnerships and 3rd party relationships.

  • This is an Alpharetta based position. This resource should be local to Atlanta and will be required to work from the following Equifax office location - Alpharetta

  • Corporate Return To Office expectations:  Onsite weekly requirements (each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

What you will do

  • Lead the next generation global network design and drive a global tech/data company to enable cloud operations and enhanced world-wide collaboration

  • Develop and implement a global networking architecture that considers all aspects of Internet, MPLS, dark fiber, VPN, DNS, CDN and other edge networking components

  • Aggregate and understands macro / micro market trends and competitive threats to drive cross-market network strategies

  • Establish consistency and clarity in network governance frameworks that advance interpersonal and organizational trust, with market flexibility and reliable performance

  • Connect across platforms to support real-time strategy refinement for both lessons learned and best practices, fueling continuous improvement in every market to ensure performance metrics

  • Directs review of current network services on an on-going basis to formulate new and revised services ensuring optimal use, capacity planning, effect improvements, reduce costs, and/or enhance efficiency

  • Drive programs that impact global network strategy and implement with strong and trusted partnerships in every market and be a good career coach and mentor, help network team grow to be technical leads, and guiding all others towards success

  • Guide development of geographically competitive, stable networks that achieve objectives for unit cost performance and trend management.

  • Apply network configuration and incentive-based payment models as appropriate to improve quality and efficiency.

  • Partner with global teams to regularly collect and analyze network performance data, optimize performance and identify new opportunities for the businesses

What experience you need

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Advanced degree preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in networking/technology. This will include at least 3 to 5 years leading as a manager of managers.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a plan that ensures that the right people are in the right roles at the right time, and that employees are highly engaged and satisfied

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational, management, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to influence technology strategic vision, understand business priorities, deal with ambiguity, and operate in a highly matrixed organization structure

  • First-hand experience implementing organizational change to migrate to an agile / cloud environment (Google and AWS preferred)

  • Deep understanding of current and emerging network technologies, public cloud networks and how other IT enterprises. You will have experience employing them with a proven track record simplifying complex environments (of which global level experience is highly preferred).

  • Excellent knowledge of appropriate network technologies and network applications (e.g., SIP, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN setup, SDWAN, DNS, routing protocols, e.g. BGP, wireless designs, and routing)

  • Deep expertise with CDN, GLB, DDoS and edge computing technologies

What could set you apart

  • Experience with Cyber Security, SOX Compliance, PCI and Data Privacy (GDPR) is preferred

  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate to all levels in the organization including executive leadership team, peers, and staff

  • Cloud Certification strongly preferred
