Location: Orlando, FL (no telework) and must be willing and able to work onsite.
Security Clearance: active and current Secret with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.

Leidos currently has several openings for Network Engineers to a Defense network program in Orlando, FL. The Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting core network infrastructure devices, including troubleshooting and quick fixes, on-site support, and providing requirements to drive improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide Network Engineering support for the design, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and operation of an evolving network architecture. Provide cross-discipline training for and mentoring of all team personnel.
Manage network architecture to include operational and security related updates and changes.
Lead the deployment planning and coordination of network system upgrades at various field sites, both CONUS and OCONUS as required.
Interface with Tier 2 to assist with coordination and issue escalation as appropriate.
Provide briefings and regular status updates to Program leadership on issues
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field with 8-15 years of relevant experience.
Active and current Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in network infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience of Juniper SSR architecture and configuration.
Expertise in SD-WAN technologies and implementation.
Demonstrated proficiency in Cisco IOS/IOS-XE operating systems.
Strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
Experience with network virtualization and software-defined networking.
Familiarity with network automation tools.
Proven track record in SD-Wan solutions.
Familiarity with WAN optimizing.
Understanding and implementing QoS.
Proficient knowledge of network engineering, network architecture, and network automation.
Strong written and verbal communications, team building and collaboration skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
Familiarity with VoIP and unified communications technologies.
Understanding of containerization and microservices architectures
