Job Description

We are looking for a Network Engineer to maintenance and upgrade of client applications. This position will be full-time and remote.

What You'll Do:

  • Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot the following:

  • Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, routers and associated technologies

  • Firewall technologies

  • Routers used for internal routing, ISP connectivity.

  • Enterprise wireless solutions

  • Develop detailed functional specifications, design documents, and test plans.

  • Monitor network performance and integrity.

  • Consult regarding network performance, capacity, and scalability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve support issues with cloud and local infrastructure.

  • Consult with technical and business partners and serve as a consulting resource to support client-hosted installations and implementations.

  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external customers to define deliverables.

  • Support escalation incidents and support on-call duty requirements.

  • Interface with internal clients such as sales, service, and field staff as well as external clients to define deliverables.

What You'll Need:

  • Solid background in network administration and architecture.

  • Strong knowledge and expertise on firewall vendors: Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto etc.

  • Cisco Enterprise Network

  • Networking in virtual platforms

  • Monitoring platforms

  • EIGRP/OSPF

  • GRE tunnels

  • Multi-site/stretched datacenter environments

  • Router configuration management

  • TACACS and other authorization methods

  • Device and networking hardening 802.1x

  • Syslog

  • BGP

The following certifications are desirable.

  • CCNP

  • CMNA

  • PCNSA

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
