Job DescriptionAs a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining our global enterprise network.
Join our dynamic team as a Network Engineer, playing a pivotal role in maintaining and evolving our highly resilient Core Network Platform.
You'll be instrumental in ensuring the operational efficiency, reliability, and security of our global infrastructure, with a specific focus on the Americas region. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly evolving industry, collaborating with market-leading technologies and global, cross-functional teams to deliver robust network solutions that support our platform's continued growth.
You'll be empowered to take ownership of tasks, working both independently and as a key team player to drive innovation and maintain seamless connectivity for our cutting-edge technology.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
Qualifications- Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLAN s, OSPF, and BGP.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Understanding of network security principles, including access control lists, firewall policies, and VPN configurations.
- Experience working with low-level network protocols and technologies, such as DHCP, DNS, NAT, and IP addressing.
- Ability to perform basic network device configurations, including firmware upgrades, port configurations, and VLAN assignments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve network issues.
- Excellent documentation skills to maintain accurate records of network configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting steps.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, provide technical support to end-users, and explain technical concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Responding promptly to incidents and service requests, providing technical support to end-users and resolving network related issues.
- Supporting and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, high availability, and optimum performance.
- Configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers.
- Monitoring network performance and proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal uptime, throughput and latency.
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and provide network solutions that align with organisational objectives.
- Performing network upgrades, including firmware updates and hardware replacements, while minimising disruption to the operation.
- Documenting network configurations, diagrams and troubleshooting guides to maintain an accurate record of the network infrastructure.
- Ensuring network compliance meets our networking standards.
- Liaising and working collaboratively with the UK Core Network Platform Team.
- Using initiative working on assigned operational and project related work.
