We are looking for an experienced and talented Network Engineer to optimise global network configurations and lead the deployment of key network-based projects. 

As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our networking infrastructure meets best practice standards and supports the company’s rapid international growth.

We are seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer with expertise in networking, preferably with Cisco technologies, to help design and implement scalable network solutions. 

The Network Engineer will be a key part of our global network team, ensuring seamless connectivity and high service levels for customers worldwide.

This role is based in our office in Virginia, USA. 

Key responsibilities of the role... 

  • Design, document, and build customer connectivity solutions to support business growth. 
  • Assist with the assessment and upgrading of networks to ensure optimal performance. 
  • Work with Engineering Services and Operations teams to integrate network designs into existing platforms. 
  • Act as an escalation point for network-related customer support tickets. 
  • Coordinate the installation and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and interconnects to support a global network of data centres. 
  • Maintain existing network equipment by deploying the latest patches and upgrades. 
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, ISPs, and technology partners. 
  • Oversee IP resource allocation and liaise with internet registrars such as RIPE and ARIN. 
  • Execute key network projects, including WAN QoS and BGP implementation, software-defined network transitions, and voice SIP trunk builds. 
  • Ensure high availability and performance of Content Guru’s mission-critical communications platform. 
  • Diagnose and resolve a wide range of networking issues, maintaining optimal platform performance. 
  • Provide clear and authoritative reports on network projects and queries to clients and management. 
  • Collaborate with internal engineering departments and external suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of network solutions. 

About you... 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with Cisco technologies. 
  • Professional-level network certifications (e.g. CCNA). 
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including structured cabling, routing and switching, IP addressing, VPN technologies (MPLS/VPLS), VRF, BGP, RIP, EIGRP, LAN, VX-LAN, and SD-WAN. 
  • Experience working with Cisco routers and switches. 
  • Experience designing customer or platform network solutions. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot networking issues efficiently. 
  • Well-organised with excellent attention to detail. 
  • Ability to produce technical documentation and implementation plans to meet hard deadlines. 
  • Commitment to upholding quality and security standards, including ISO9001 and ISO27001. 
  • US Citizenship is required for compliance reasons. 

Desirable skills... 

  • Experience with VoIP technologies and Oracle SBCs. 
  • Knowledge of network automation tools such as Python/Ansible. 
  • Project management experience. 
  • Customer-facing experience in a technical role. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-growing company with highly skilled colleagues.
