We are actively seeking a Network Engineer to join our Network Engineering team!
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsible for network design/support & solutions/security/management
- Configure network devices such as routers/switches/firewalls/wireless network devices based on network infrastructure designs, build MetTel core backbone network to improve networks efficiency & latency
- Design/optimize/maintain complex IP networks by analyzing client’s requirements
- Enhance/support/maintain mission-critical Cisco-based routers/switches & configure/deploy/maintain SIP services & Cisco IP phones
- Provide end-to-end deployment/support on Wireless Controllers/Access Points & create/modify/manage network maps for clients
- Troubleshoot large IP-based data networks – LAN/WAN/MAN, including routing protocols
- Monitor/troubleshoot/maintain network hardware components that provide internet access
- Conduct root cause analysis, escalate as per SLA & implement scheduled changes to resolve potential network issues
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2-year work experience in designing/deployment/supporting large-scale data networks (LAN/WAN/MAN)
- Must be experienced with network management & Cisco routers/switches
- Sound knowledge of networking technologies & IPSEC VPN/Netflow/SNMP
- In-depth understanding of VOIP environments & Cisco's IP telephony systems
- Proficient in Routing/Switching protocols (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP), MPLS protocols & network software tools
The salary range reflected is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay for this position is $103,500 to $118,000 annually. Pay varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and abilities of the successful candidate.
