This position is responsible for designing and implements the network infra for new projects and/or existing network enhancement. Manage and administrate system for the project and sustaining support. Keep Houston site network/infra at the top of the enterprise technical level to lead NA Network technology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Beacon project network project and sustaining support.
- Houston data center network project and sustaining support
- Wireless hyper location project and sustaining support
- Building move project ans sustaining support including the following and not limited to: office network; IP phone network; eFox network; Tandberg/TP network; wireless network; VSM network; CEM network.
- Cisco auto test network and cecisum network and Apolo project network leader in Foxconn and contact window for Cisco
- Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network
- Recommend, implement and support continuous improvement within the department and the company to improve employee performance, quality control, productivity, efficiency and cost reduction
- Document system problems and resolutions for future reference
- Provide user training and documentation as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- WAN Setup
- Data center level project experience and above
- Good communication, customer service skills and troubleshoot network technical issue in NA.
- Proven experience with Microsoft OS (including Server), Office, Lotus Notes, ERP, backup applications.
- Knowledge of AD, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, Symantec End Point, TCP/IP, VOIP
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
- Bilingual in Mandarin preferred
- Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders or lift materials (up to 50 pounds)
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 5+ years working experience in IT or related area
- Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge in the following systems/programs; windows, windows server, MS Office, Cisco routers/switches/firewall setup/administration
