Supports Torc’s communications infrastructure across the globe. Responsibilities include securing the efficient and reliable transportation of data used in the development of self-driving software. Works closely with other members of our IT and DevOps teams to implement network profiling, optimization, and security solutions to make sure our vehicles get where they are going.
What you''ll be doing:
- Implement and maintain computer networks and related hardware and software solutions
- Recommend, configure, and deploy network security solutions such as IDS, IPS, NAC, and VPN
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and operationalizing network solutions
- Participate in network analysis exercises and event management
- Stay current on latest networking trends to act as subject matter expert and key resource
- Coordinate deployment and maintenance of communications infrastructure within corporate facilities
- Working remotely in Dallas/Ft Worth with travel to Austin periodically and to Equinix Dallas as needed
What you''ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field OR equivalent professional experience
- 6 plus years' industry experience
- Experience in networking design, management, and security expertise; maintaining a WAN between multiple offices; and Cisco, Meraki, or related technologies; Linux administration a plus
- Cisco CCNA certifications or equivalent; Cisco CCNP or CCDP certifications or equivalent is preferred
- Experience managing technical infrastructure to support system performance
- Knowledge of containerization, virtualization, continuous integration concepts; performance metrics and analysis; and quality assurance principles
- Troubleshooting skills (real-time and in-depth analysis
- Strong time management and organizational skills to plan, develop, coordinate resources, prioritize effectively, and maintain programs and initiatives simultaneously and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to thrive in a face-paced environment with quickly changing business needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build trust and strong relationships, effectively create reports and relate data, and communicate to a diverse workforce.
- Position requires transportation to locations outside the main complex. Valid US Driver’s license with a safe driving record required. May travel occasionally to other states
- Candidate must reside in Dallas/Ft Worth area with travel as needed to Austin, Tx

US Pay Range
$120,100—$144,100 USD
