What You’ll Do

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise‑grade network infrastructure—switches, routers, next‑gen firewalls, and more. 
• Perform hands‑on maintenance and monitoring to keep networks and servers secure, stable, and optimized. 
• Evaluate the health of network and data center components, identifying opportunities for upgrades and improvements. 
• Manage support requests using the IT Help Desk system, coordinating with technical teams as needed. 
• Configure and maintain networked devices, VPNs, Active Directory services, NAS systems, and server‑based applications. 
• Partner with IT Administrators and Support Specialists to troubleshoot and resolve advanced network or server issues. 
• Collaborate with IT leadership and end users to maintain a robust computing environment. 
• Research emerging technologies, tools, protocols, and standards to enhance IT capabilities. 
• Analyze system usage to plan for future capacity, scalability, and growth. 
• Provide occasional support for Operational Technology networks and SCADA systems. 
• Help ensure compliance with cybersecurity controls and frameworks such as NIST, NRC, COMSEC, and DOE requirements.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a technical field — or equivalent experience. 
• Seven years of network engineering experience. 
• Strong knowledge of common network architectures, operating systems, hardware platforms, and protocols.

What Sets You Apart

• Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and Palo Alto firewalls. 
• Relevant certifications (Cisco, A+, Network+, Security+). 
• Experience managing Microsoft Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP). 
• Experience with VMware virtualization.
