About the Opportunity

You’ll operate as a high‑level technical expert, trusted to work independently while collaborating closely with IT leadership and project managers.

What You’ll Do
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise‑grade network infrastructure—switches, routers, next‑gen firewalls, and more.
- Perform hands‑on maintenance and monitoring to keep networks and servers secure, stable, and optimized.
- Evaluate the health of network and data center components, identifying opportunities for upgrades and improvements.
- Manage support requests using the IT Help Desk system, coordinating with technical teams as needed.
- Configure and maintain networked devices, VPNs, Active Directory services, NAS systems, and server‑based applications.
- Partner with IT Administrators and Support Specialists to troubleshoot and resolve advanced network or server issues.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and end users to maintain a robust computing environment.
- Research emerging technologies, tools, protocols, and standards to enhance IT capabilities.
- Analyze system usage to plan for future capacity, scalability, and growth.
- Provide occasional support for Operational Technology networks and SCADA systems.
- Help ensure compliance with cybersecurity controls and frameworks such as NIST, NRC, COMSEC, and DOE requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a technical field — or equivalent experience.
- Seven years of network engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of common network architectures, operating systems, hardware platforms, and protocols.
What Sets You Apart
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Relevant certifications (Cisco, A+, Network+, Security+).
- Experience managing Microsoft Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with VMware virtualization.

This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
