Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Network Engineer - Level 3/4 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA.
*Please be aware that this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding and obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.
What you'll get to do:
- Design, deployment and maintenance of networks.
- Interface with other groups to gain a heightened understanding of customer network requirements to include implementation of DISA STIGs.
- Ancillary duties will include, but are not limited to: evaluation of vendor products, providing recommendations to purchase hardware and software, providing backup recovery, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, building of systems and computing asset management.
- Architect and assist in the successful deployment of international networks.
- Implement Cyber requirements via STIG automation.
- Integration of networks / time servers and other network devices.
- Assist with integrating products within labs and development environments.
- Help to maintain the information assurance posture of the system.
- Formulate innovative solutions to problems as they arise.
This position can be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.
Basic Qualifications for Network Engineer - Level 3:
- 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 year of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Active Top Secret clearance required at the time of application, and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and CI Poly prior to start
- Experience with IP subnetting
- Experience with L1 thru L3 networking
- Experience with static and dynamic routing protocols
- Knowledge of Cisco Systems networking, to include the deployment of complex WAN configurations across several sites (including international)
- DISA STIG as they apply to network devices
- Security+ Certification
