Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco and Arista network infrastructure
- Support enterprise routing and switching environments with a strong emphasis on BGP routing and sustainment
- Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and infrastructure issues
- Configure and support firewall technologies and network security appliances
- Support crypto equipment and secure communications environments
- Administer and support Riverbed WAN optimization technologies and Call Manager systems
- Support LatteArt and related operational network management tools
- Maintain compliance with STE/STN and SSP security requirements across network environments
- Support network upgrades, patching, configuration management, and lifecycle activities
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to maintain secure and reliable network operations
- Provide operational support during outages, maintenance windows, and mission-critical events
- Participate in on-call rotations and travel support as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Significant experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and Arista network environments
- Strong experience with BGP routing, routing protocols, and network sustainment activities
- Experience supporting firewalls, crypto devices, and secure network environments
- Experience with Riverbed and Cisco Call Manager technologies
- Familiarity with LatteArt and enterprise network management tools
- Experience supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of IP networking, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within operational teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience:
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculum; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline and an additional two (2) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support for a total of eight (8) years; OR
- In lieu of a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, an additional six (6) years of experience providing Network Engineering support and a certification in an industry standard such as:
- Arista Configuration Essentials
- CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Juniper Certification Tracks (Automation & DevOps, Cloud, Data Center, Design, Enterprise Routing and Switching, Junos Security, or Service Provider Routing and Switching)
for a total of twelve (12) years of relevant experience
Certifications:
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II baseline certification is required
Clearance Requirement:
- Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
