Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Network Engineer – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Aurora, CO. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

The Network Engineer will support the customer’s computer data communications systems, in providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as, analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide technical support and engineering for WAN/LAN development and maintenance.
- The work involves installations, design, configurations, monitoring, and maintenance of network hardware and software to ensure network availability to system users.
- Work alongside other network support and client server specialists to plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
- Provide support to projects involving networks, by helping them connect to the network and troubleshooting issues they may have.
- Develop and implement methodologies for analysis, installation and support of the network.

This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.
Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional relevant experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional relevant experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance with an active Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph at time of application
- Active/current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent 8570 certification
- Network Engineering experience covering Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Cabling, and Hardware configuration/installation with CISCO and/or Juniper equipment

- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional relevant experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional relevant experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional relevant experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.

- Ability to effectively write technical documentation

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
