As part of a hard-working team of diverse specialists, technicians and engineers, you will directly support the network engineering environment for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the teams' impact on all aspects of networking from the enterprise core to the access layers of the industrial and corporate networks. You must have a passion for solving complex and interesting problems, adapting as needed to better this unique environment by working towards improving the network by way of scripting and automation. The Network Engineer is a member of the information technology department and reports directly to the Manager of Network Engineering.

Responsibilities:

Deploy, troubleshoot and maintain enterprise wired and wireless networks throughout office space and manufacturing environment.

On site primary point of contact for hands-on support network troubleshooting and/or project deployments
-
Interface directly with end-users and support desk to triage tickets or issues appropriately.

Participate in on-call rotation that provides 24x7x365 support to the business.

Maintain/modify alerting and monitoring systems for network hardware and/or services.
-
This role is fully on-site 5 days/week.

Travel up to 30% of the time to support the enterprise.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
2+ years of recent and contiguous experience at minimum of a mid-level network engineer
-
2+ years of direct routing and switching experience is required with the Juniper platform.

Working knowledge of enterprise grade network monitoring systems and living documentation applications
-
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in information technology, networking or equivalent
-
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.

High level of customer service communication skills

Must be able to lift equipment up to 30 pounds.

Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired Qualifications

JNCIA or JNCIS certification

Experience with wireless networking in both corporate and industrial environments with the Aruba platform

Experience with Aruba Clearpass and 802.1x Network Access Control

Network tooling/automation support

Experience with Palo Alto in an industrial and enterprise network.
