Installs and configures Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and management applications. Diagnoses network performance issues, implements improvements, develops security requirements and device configurations, and provides technical direction. Directs small teams in resolving complex network problems and contributes AI expertise to broad technical initiatives.

Support planning, design, development, implementation and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks to encompass diagnosing network performance shortcomings and designing and implementing performance improvements. The NE shall develop, operate, and manage networks required to operate in a secure environment.
A skilled, senior Network Engineer with at least some background in AI. Generally, individuals with strong AI skills across other disciplines who could provide expertise to the wide-ranging AI issues the working group is looking to tackle (software development, hardware engineering, systems engineering, etc)

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
Capabilities
- Install and configure Cisco 7600 series routers 6500 series switches
- Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and dianose and resolve problems with Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Cisco VPNs, Cisco 3750 series switches, and Cisco management applications
- Develop netowork security requirements and policy and translate requirements into specific device configurations
- Design and implement enterprise-level ISP backbone networks
- Provide technical direction for the operation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices
- Direct small teams in the identification and resolution of complex technical issues and problems
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- 10 years of experience in netowkr design to include routing, switching, and network security is required.
- CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required.
