EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for Network Communications Software Engineer in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our Germantown, MD office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex software and Linux system for router and terminal units for communication between networks.
- Apply algorithms and data structures to ensure robustness and efficiency of the software in C and C++.
- Test and debug issues with accurate code. Enhance and perform system design of new products using optimal frameworks and provide field support for client and other outside teams.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 18 months' experience in C/C++.
- Experience must include 18 months in each of the following: real time software development; management and control platforms for networks; use of Linux operating system to build and deploy software; Python; Design and analysis of algorithms; OOP; Operation system design; and Computer architectures.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $91,157.00 - $91,157.00
