Role Summary
The Network & Collaboration Engineer will be
responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting network and
communication systems for SamaWave and its clients. This includes network
infrastructure, unified communications, video conferencing, and collaboration
tools, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and performance across all
environments.
This role requires a mix of technical expertise, project
management skills, and customer service excellence, with the ability to
translate business needs into effective IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure & Security
- Design,
deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure across
multiple sites.
- Configure
and manage routers, switches, access points, and firewalls (Cisco, Meraki,
Fortinet, etc.).
- Implement
and maintain network security policies, ACLs, and encryption standards.
- Monitor,
troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability
and reliability.
- Perform
regular backup, redundancy, and disaster recovery planning.
Collaboration & Unified Communication
- Design,
deploy, manage, and troubleshoot VoIP and IP telephony systems (Cisco Call Manager, and similar).
- Integrate
collaboration systems with Active Directory and identity management
platforms.
- Maintain
service uptime and performance for unified communication platforms.
Systems Integration & Support
- Work
closely with other teams to ensure seamless system and application
integration.
- Participate
in IT infrastructure projects, from planning to post-deployment
support.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for network and communication-related
incidents.
- Analyze
system logs, network data, and performance metrics to proactively prevent
issues.
- Maintain
detailed documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and
inventories.
Project Management & Client Engagement
- Assist
in developing technical proposals and network design documents for
clients.
- Lead
or support client implementation projects, ensuring timely and successful
delivery.
- Conduct site surveys, feasibility assessments, and capacity planning.
- Communicate
effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams throughout project
lifecycle.
- Provide training and technical handover sessions to clients and end-users.
- Stay
updated with emerging technologies in networking, collaboration, and cloud
integration.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Information
Technology.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network implementation, deployment
, management, and collaboration systems.
- Practical
knowledge of Cisco Collaboration systems, Fortinet , Meraki,
- Strong
understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, QoS, and
VPN technologies.
- Experience
with Cisco, Fortinet, Sophos, PaloAlto, etc.
- Certifications
such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, CCNA voice are a plus.
- Excellent
problem-solving and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong
organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and
priorities.
Plus skills:
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with security best
practices.
- Support cloud networking integrations for Azure, AWS, and hybrid
environments.
- Configure
and support Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and Office 365
collaboration tools.

Skills Required
