A bit about your role
The Network Automation Engineer within Technology and Solutions supports the Network Automation Engineering function for strategic technology improvement initiatives across all functional areas within Network Engineering and Operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Network Automation Solutions, this role focuses on measuring and automating network reliability to align with business service-level objectives.
The role is responsible for enabling self-service handling of network dynamics, automating troubleshooting through proactive testing, and thriving in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. Additionally, the individual is accountable for building or enhancing existing network automation capabilities and providing triage and support for operational issues related to automation.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate should have good years of experience as a senior network engineer, network automation engineer or Assurance lead, and a strong background in telecommunications. They should have proven experience with big data platforms such as Splunk, SQL, Elastic, etc., and a working knowledge of programming and scripting languages like JavaScript, XML, JSON, C#, etc. Hands on experience with the automation workflow builder, knowledge of React and .Net framework are mandatory. Familiarity with the SAFe AGILE Methodology is a must.
The candidate should have experience in risk management and mitigation and be able to maintain and build strong relationships with stakeholders. They should possess excellent presentation and negotiation skills, solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, and strong communication skills. Personal organisation, a high level of self-motivation, attention to detail, mentoring and coaching skills, and the ability to influence others are also important. The candidate should have strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, good analytical skills, and a belief in providing the highest quality of service to clients.
