Roles and Responsibilities
- Global Architecture & Strategy -
- Lead the architecture and design of Pattern’s global network (offices, warehouses, cloud)
- Develop scalable standards for routing, switching, SD-WAN, segmentation, WLAN, and NAC
- Evaluate new technologies and practices to enhance resiliency, performance, and visibility Proactively identify and redesign weaknesses or inefficiencies
- Project Leadership & Execution
- Own network buildouts for warehouses, corporate offices, and global sites (requirements, design, deployment)Produce professional, presentation-ready network designs (HLDs, LLDs, BOMs, diagrams)
- Drive end-to-end project execution, coordinating with global teams and vendors as needed
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Operational Excellence
- Act as the highest-level technical escalation point for global networking issuesDiagnose complex networking and security problems independently
- Implement lasting solutions, not just band-aid fixes
- Vendor, Partner & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage vendor relationships (ISPs, integrators, suppliers)Lead technical conversations and ensure vendors meet Pattern standardsCollaborate closely with the Network Manager, IT leadership, and regional teams
- Documentation & Standards
- Maintain world-class documentation, including architecture diagrams, standards, and runbooksEstablish and enforce global best practices for network design and operations
Technical Qualification
- 15+ years of deep, hands-on networking experience in global enterprise environments
- Proven ability to architect (not just operate) large, complex multi-site networks
- Expert-level proficiency in:BGP, OSPFSD-WAN (Fortinet preferred)
- Firewalling (FortiGate), switching (FortiSwitch), centralized management (FortiManager)High-availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR), routing failover, ISP redundancyNAC / 802.1X / certificate-based auth (Portnox a plus)
- Enterprise Wi-Fi architectures
- Strong experience designing networks for warehouses, distribution centers, and high-density offices
- Excellent, fluent English (written & spoken)Ability to create professional design documents and present to senior leadership
- Demonstrated independence: can deliver from problem to solution without oversight
Nice to have
- Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with CheckMK or other advanced monitoring tools
- Familiarity with automation, scripting, or Infrastructure-as-Code
- Experience in fast-paced, global technology organizations
