Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Network Architect to design, implement, and optimize our network infrastructure. This role involves working closely with cross functional teams to create scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions that meet both current and future business requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network protocols, architectures, and security, along with hands-on experience in leading complex network projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design & Architecture:

  •  Design, develop, and implement high availability and resilient network architectures.
  • Create comprehensive network blueprints, including logical and physical diagrams, and ensure they meet organizational goals.
  • Develop and enforce standards and policies for network design and deployment.

Project Management:

  • Lead largescale network projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and cost effectiveness.
  • Work with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Manage and coordinate resources for network design, deployment, and upgrades.

Network Security:

  • Develop and implement security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention/detection systems.
  • Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities within the network.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Network Optimization & Troubleshooting:

  • Continuously analyze network performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, including analyzing traffic patterns, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing solutions.
  • Optimize network performance for efficiency and reliability.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:

  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and development teams to align network architecture with business needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to network support teams.
  • Act as a key advisor to management on network technologies and future trends.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on network designs, configurations, and change management.
  • Prepare and present reports on network performance, project status, and future plans to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Network Architect or similar role in a large-scale environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and hands-on experience with network hardware and software.
  • Proficiency with network security principles and practices.
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid networks is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCIE, CISSP) are preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with SDN (Software Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization).
  • Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Understanding of compliance standards such as PCI, TISAX, etc.
