The Network Administrator is responsible for administering computer networks and systems. Implement, manage, and troubleshoot networks and systems according to the company’s needs and goals. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and monitoring computer and network systems to improve performance, making sure all users know how to use the networks and systems properly and ensuring all system users have authorized access. Maintains system security, upgrading network and computer systems and fixing network, hardware, software, and systems problems.
- Analyzes, administers, and maintains SFM networks.
- Maintains network security and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
- Evaluates and installs hardware, including security devices, and software of network related equipment.
- Configures and maintains network architecture NAS/SAN devices and technologies.
- Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades.
- Collaborates with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- Develops and implements testing strategies and documents results.
- Evaluates network performance to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems, or for disaster recovery purposes.
- Identifies the causes of network issues and provides prompt resolution.
- Installs systems and components ensuring integration with existing systems
- Analyzes and supports applications in virtual environment.
- Analyzes and reports network security breaches or attempted breaches.
- Monitors industry websites or publications for information about patches, releases, viruses, or potential problem identification.
- Involved with updating policies and procedures related to SOC requirements, including annual testing.
- Administers email and anti-virus systems.
- Manages backups and procedures.
- Works closely with Tier III Help Desk Technician resolving Tier III tickets.
- Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms.
- Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
- Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
- Ensures clients’ rights are protected.
- Associate degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred or industry experience equivalent.
- Certification (s) such as Network +, Security +, CCNA preferred.
- 3-5 years or a combination of education and experience in IT networking. Must have experience with Cisco firewalls, switches, and routers.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must pass a drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check and an Adult Registry Check
- FBI Fingerprint check
- Lifting requirement of 50 lbs
- Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
