The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is looking for a Network Administrator to provide ongoing support for DHS Homeland Enterprise Information Technology Secure Services & Support (HEITS) to ensure the continued operations, maintenance, and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN).
We are searching for a qualified candidate to bring their troubleshooting and organizational skills to maintain rugged edge networking solutions in support of key principals within the DHS organization.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining F5, Juniper, Palo Alto, Panorama, and Cisco devices, ensuring optimal performance and security of the DHS Networks.
Primary Responsibilities

Provide Network Engineering support to include planning, designing, and evaluating specific network architecture.

Architect and support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of F5, Cisco, Palo Alto, Panorama and Juniper network hardware and software.

Develop and manage policies and profiles to optimize application delivery and security.

Perform regular monitoring of network devices to ensure optimal performance.

Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary updates and patches.

Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and application developers to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.

Support DHS Classified IT infrastructure data, voice, and video systems.

Provide technical expertise to resolve networking events, as well as update and configure equipment while maintaining a configuration management process throughout the systems life cycle.
Basic Qualifications
-
BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or MS with 3+ years or prior relevant experience.

Must possess an active US Top Secret Clearance.

Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security practices.

Able to troubleshoot enterprise applications such as DNS, DHCP, and E-mail.

Preferred experience with Cisco or Juniper Routing/Switching, and desk top IP phones/VTC’s.

Desire to work in a diverse, dynamic, and demanding work environment, with the capability to work both independently and with internal/external teams.

Strong written and verbal communications skills
Preferred Qualifications

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

Windows Desktop Support experience.

Experience providing support to VIP customers.
-
DHS or other government contract experience.

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
