ABOUT THE ROLE:
Network administrators are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the computer networks. They organize, install, and support an organization’s computer systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems. These administrators also make sure that servers and employees’ workstations are working efficiently and stay connected to the computer network. In some cases, administrators help network architects design and analyze network models. Participating in decisions about buying future hardware or software to upgrade their organization’s network can be a part of the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- perform network monitoring
- test the network for weakness
- applying updates
- install and implement security programs such as E-mail and Internet filters
- conduct network address assignment
- assign routing protocols
- route table configuration
- perform maintenance of network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers & printers.
- perform maintenance of certain network servers, file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems
- be responsible for the security of the network and for assigning IP addresses to the devices connected to the networks.
- assign IP addresses gives the subnet administrator some control over the professional who connects to the subnet
- help ensure that each system is connected and know who personally is responsible for the system
- create technical documentation
- participate and contribute to a team approach for best practices
- perform other duties as needed by the role
REQUIREMENTS:
On day one, we'll expect you to ...
- have 3+ years' experience as Network Administrator
- be adept in setting up and configuring Windows servers and other network hardware remotely
- have experience in backup and recovery software methodologies
- have proven experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and network performance analysis
- possess comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts and computing infrastructures
- be experienced with leading server management and monitoring tools
- possess skills in the following technologies: Unifi Meraki, Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco, Sonicwall, and Palo Alto.
- have strong communication skills for training and assisting users
- have excellent problem-solving abilities
- be passionate about delivering with quality
- have a fully functional and up to date computer with which to perform duties
- be willing to install next generation endpoint protection on the computer
- be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there
- be willing to work during US Pacific timezone (8am - 5pm PDT, 11PM - 8AM Manila time) or during client hours as required
- be willing to install and use a time keeping software while performing the work for the team
- be willing to undergo a 90-days probationary period upon initial hire
- be open to a full-time, contract opportunity
NOTE:
- This is a remote (work from home) full-time job.
- Network certifications are a plus.
