Leidos is hiring: Network Administration & Operations Engineer Location: Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii Shift: Evening
Leidos is seeking a Network Administration and Operations Engineer to join our team at Camp H.M. Smith, HI. This role provides critical support to the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) Network and LAN configurations, ensuring secure, reliable operations in a dynamic Department of Defense environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive network engineering support, including planning, design, maintenance, and operational oversight.
Evaluate TMPC Network and LAN components, recommending new technologies to enhance capabilities.
Support daily on-site Government personnel and DOD operations with all aspects of Information System (IS) security for the ISSE Guard and TMPC Network.
Maintain knowledge of enhanced tactical capabilities and contribute to TMPC lifecycle development.
Conduct periodic security testing, assist with accreditation/certification documentation, and implement system upgrades.
Perform LAN maintenance, switch configuration updates, and ensure all changes align with baseline standards.
Develop solutions to complex technical problems and communicate practices/procedures across Government agencies and contractor teams.
Create, update, and improve security documentation; manage security activity schedules; and deliver weekly/monthly LAN configuration reports.
Perform Information Assurance and Certification of critical systems, advising customers during policy reviews to ensure compliance with security requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with less than 2 years of experience. Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
Hands-on experience administering Windows-based domains, servers, and workstations in small, complex network environments.
Familiarity with Event Viewer, VMware, Active Directory, Group Policy, HBSS, and/or Linux System Administration.
Active Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certification.
Active TS/SCI clearance.
