THE ROLE
The NetSuite Functional Consultant understands the full extent of the digital solution and will collaborate effectively with colleagues in the development function to assess requirements and recommend solution options that achieve both strategic business goals and meet operational requirements.
You will provide functional support to resolve NetSuite related issues, working alongside your development colleagues to ensure smooth operations. There should be a strong focus on knowledge sharing and transfer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on collaboration with Business Analysts, Architect and Developers to design and configure solutions on, and surrounding, the NetSuite platform.
- Functional design and delivery of complex change requests and major projects
- Writing test plans and ensuring testing coverage is sufficient
- Performing peer reviews of code and designs
- Support regression testing activities, investigating and resolving issues
- Facilitate release management activities across teams, ensuring controlled and timely deployments within a continuous integration environment. Ensure that all changes are documented, reviewed, tested and approved before release.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on items related to NetSuite and the NetSuite eco-system.
- Coordinate cross-functional requirements, acting as the NetSuite lead
- Hands-on resolution of support desk tickets or other complex issues where senior help is required.
- Coaching junior resources to enable support teams to rotate into the declarative team activities.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for customizations, configuration and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and training
Skills and Experience
- The candidates will have experience as a NetSuite consultant, looking for a move into industry. You should ideally have experience in working with technical and solution architects of global brands, and their teams, to identify, architect and implement technology solutions in support of digital transformation initiatives. Furthermore, the ideal candidates will be:
- More than 3 years of experience with NetSuite as an Administrator in a complex environment using OneWorld, or as a NetSuite Consultant in practice
- Knowledge of NetSuite architecture best practices
- Fully confident supporting all aspects of O2C, P2P, R2R (including FAM and ARM)
- Suite Foundation and Administration Certification
- Up to date knowledge of NetSuite functionality, including latest release
- Knowledge of business development activities, including the design of NetSuite solutions based upon input from business analysts
- An understanding of NetSuite offerings, including licensing options
- Experience with NetSuite Multi-book accounting
- Experience with Zone Billing and Advanced Revenue Management.
- NetSuite Consultant Certification
- Experience with Kyriba or Blackline an advantage
- Experience with Salesforce an advantage
- Knowledge of the systems delivery lifecycle including requirements gathering, analysis, design, configuration, integration, testing (all phases), migration and deployment
- A confident written and verbal communicator, able to clearly explain digital solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of priorities and able to balance workload across various projects, issues, and end users.
- Able to work within a team with varied skillsets, both leading and supporting colleagues.
