NetSuite Functional Consultant / Administrator – Finance Systems & SOX Compliance

Work Arrangement / Work Shift: Fulltime/ Pacific Timezone

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Functional Consultant with strong expertise in NetSuite Administration and Finance Systems to support our US public company operations. This role will serve as a key partner to Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Operations teams by translating business requirements into scalable NetSuite solutions while ensuring compliance with SOX controls and enterprise standards. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of accounting processes, NetSuite configuration, data migration, system implementations, and integrated business applications such as Coupa.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Operations stakeholders.

• Translate business requirements into scalable NetSuite solutions and system enhancements.

• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives across finance and operational processes.

• Configure, support, and optimize NetSuite modules including:

  • General Ledger

  • Accounts Payable

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Fixed Assets

  • Revenue Recognition

  • Advanced Revenue Management (ARM)

  • Multi-Book Accounting

  • Financial Reporting

  • Period Close Processes

• Manage NetSuite administration activities including roles, permissions, security controls, workflows, forms, records, saved searches, reports, and dashboards.

• Maintain audit-compliant user access and security processes.

• Support system releases, enhancements, testing, and deployment activities.

• Partner with Finance, Internal Audit, and IT teams to support SOX compliance initiatives.

• Assist with control documentation, testing, and audit requirements.

• Design and maintain approval workflows, system controls, and business process governance.

• Ensure compliance with change management and internal control procedures.

• Lead data migration activities for system implementations, acquisitions, and business integrations.

• Perform data mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and migration testing.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and post-go-live activities.

• Provide functional support for Coupa and other integrated enterprise applications.

• Troubleshoot transaction, process, and integration-related issues.

• Support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R) business processes.

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years of NetSuite functional consulting experience.

• Strong hands-on NetSuite Administration experience.

• Deep understanding of accounting and finance processes.

• Experience supporting General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, and Financial Reporting functions.

• Hands-on experience with Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) and Multi-Book Accounting.

• Experience supporting a US publicly traded company or regulated business environment.

• Strong SOX compliance, audit support, and internal controls experience.

• Experience leading or supporting NetSuite data migration projects.

• Experience supporting Coupa integrations and procurement processes.

• Strong business process analysis and requirements gathering skills.

• NetSuite Administrator Certification.

• NetSuite ERP Consultant Certification.

• CPA, CMA, or strong accounting background.

• Experience supporting acquisition integrations and mergers.

• Experience leading ERP transformation or large-scale system implementation projects.

• Experience working with public company compliance and audit requirements.
