Job Description
Position Responsibilities
- NetApp Storage Administration:
- Manage, configure, and maintain NetApp storage systems, including FAS and AFF series.
- Monitor storage performance, capacity, and health.
- Implement and maintain storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and Fiber Channel.
- Perform regular storage system backups and recovery operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues and outages.
- Rubrik Backup Administration:
- Manage and maintain Rubrik backup and recovery solutions.
- Monitor backup job status, performance, and health.
- Implement backup policies, schedules, and retention periods.
- Perform regular testing of backup and recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backup-related issues and failures.
- Data Protection and Security:
- Ensure data protection and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Implement and manage data encryption and access controls.
- Perform regular audits of storage and backup systems to ensure data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and threats.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with other IT teams to integrate and support various systems and applications.
- Provide Tier 3 support for storage and backup-related incidents and requests.
- Document configurations, processes, and procedures for NetApp and Rubrik environments.
- Conduct training sessions for IT staff and end-users on best practices and new features.
- Plan and execute storage and backup-related projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new implementations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of NetApp ONTAP, FAS, and AFF storage systems.
- In-depth understanding of storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and Fiber Channel.
- Proficiency in backup and recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with data protection and disaster recovery best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Perl for automation and management tasks.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE), or Rubrik Certified Systems Administrator (RCSA) are highly desirable.
