Position: .NET Web Developer
Location: Labman HQ, Seamer, North Yorkshire
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time
This role is office based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire. We do not offer hybrid or homeworking opportunities.
About the Role || We’re looking for a skilled .NET Web Developer to help build and evolve software that powers advanced automation systems and internal tools. Contribute within a dynamic team using a waterfall-based development process. You will have strong collaboration with end users taking full responsibility of the development lifecycle. This is a fully office-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys close collaboration and being part of a highly engaged, multidisciplinary team.
What You'll Do:
- Creating robust web applications that support automation platforms and business systems
- Writing clean, maintainable C# code using modern .NET technologies
- Contributing to system design, architecture discussions, and technical decisions
- Maintaining and improving existing applications and infrastructure
- Supporting users and collaborating with technical and non-technical internal teams
- Lead requirement gathering, conduct code reviews, and ensure optimal technical solutions are delivered
What You'll Need:
- At least 3 years’ experience building web applications with .NET Core / .NET 6+
- Strong C# development skills and a solid grasp of object-oriented programming
- Understanding of good software design practices (e.g. separation of concerns)
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal
Desirable:
- Front-end experience with JavaScript, jQuery, or Vue.js
- Familiarity with non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB or time-series databases)
- Exposure to containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience developing with Razor Pages, MVC or Blazer
- An eye for intuitive UI/UX design
- Experience with source control and CICD
- Awareness of working within structured quality frameworks (e.g. ISO standards)

Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in developing web applications using Microsoft .NET Core / .NET 6
- Proficient in C# with strong development skills
- Solid understanding of software development principles, including separation of concerns and object-oriented programming
- Database development expertise, including experience with MySQL
- Strong English communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation
