About the role
We're excited to introduce Next.js into our development landscape and are looking for someone with strong expertise in the framework to help lead the journey. This person will act as a catalyst for adoption, mentoring team members, promoting best practices, and strengthening the team's overall capability in Next.js.

Our web applications offer our Nordic customers a modern and appealing self-service experience, enabling them to manage their insurance, claims and payments. In addition to web-based self-service solution, the team is focusing on creating APIs for other services like mobile apps.
In this role, you will use your technical and domain expertise to contribute to both development projects and teams’ success. Your closely co-operating agile team consists of people working in different expertise areas and in different locations: Turku, Espoo, Riga, and Stockholm. What are you going to do?
- Drive wider adoption of Next.js while coaching and supporting team members to advance their skills and confidence in the framework
- Build web solutions and APIs using Azure-hosted service
- Apply expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, and Web APIs in daily development work
- Work with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, Next.js, and Razor
- Incorporate test automation and continuous integration as part of the workflow
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and refine user stories
- Participate in agile practices and work closely with other developers in the team
- Influence learning topics within your team and contribute to knowledge sharing
What do we expect from you?
- Multiple years of experience in software development (senior level)
- Deep knowledge of backend software development with C#/.NET
- Good understanding of REST API development (.NET)
- Front-end development experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience with Azure, Git environments, pull requests, and code reviews
- Solid understanding of HTML and CSS (tailwind)
- Experience with integration of third-party services via API
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI assistants / agentic development
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts and logic to non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Problem-solving and adaptability, including critical thinking, resourceful solution design, and the ability
- Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and comfort with practices like code reviews and pair programming
- Show ability to work effectively in an English-speaking environment, ensuring clear communication with international teams and stakeholders
- Experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework, or NoSQL is an advantage
- Relevant bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent work experience
